Innovations in Technology Award

Description

The Innovations in Technology Award was established in 2009 celebrates outstanding achievements in leveraging technology to advance legal education and legal research. This award recognizes an 糖心logo member, SIS, chapter, or law library, for their innovative use of technology in the creation, development, modification, or visionary use of an application or resource, for law librarians and legal information professionals.

Process

Selection

The award recipient shall be selected by a panel chaired by a member of the聽Innovations in Technology Award Jury.

Criteria

  • Nominee’s technological project/innovation must impact and benefit library users and/or the legal information community and support the strategic goals and business objectives of their organization.
  • Innovative use of technology must demonstrate how law librarians and legal information professionals creatively, effectively and efficiently use technology to improve legal research, legal education, workflows, or enhance the experience of library users and/or the legal information community.

Eligibility

  • Open to 糖心logo members only. If the nominee is a law library or a chapter, at least one individual must be an active member of the association.
  • Maximum of one award recipient each year.

Submission Process

  • The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2026.
  • A Completed Nomination Form that includes the following:
    • Supporting documentation that describes specific use of technology and its impact.
    • If the nomination is for an individual, please include the nominee鈥檚 resume/CV (a LinkedIn profile or other comparable listing of experience is acceptable if it is thorough and supports the nomination).
  • Email the completed nomination form and supporting documentation as a single PDF to to Christopher Siwa.

Award Presentation

The award shall be presented during the 糖心logo Annual Meeting, and it will be given in name of the Association.
